Choi San

San, born on July 10, 1999, is the lead vocalist and performer of an eight-membered group known as ATEEZ. He was born in Jinju, South Korea since there was no hospital in Namhae County, where his family resided. Since his father is a Taekwondo instructor who owns a studio, he is well-trained in Taekwondo, reaching the level of third-degree black belt. He lived in Namhae until he decided to go to Seoul at 16 to pursue his dream of becoming a singer.He became a trainee at KQ Entertainment in 2016, officially making him the fourth trainee to enter the company. In his early KQ Fellaz days, his dance ability was poor, but he kept training hard until he became one of the group's best dancers. He debuted with the other ATEEZ members on October 24, 2018, with their mini album, TREASURE EP.1 : All to Zero, and its double title tracks, Pirate King and Treasure. As the first idol from Namhae County, he was appointed the Honorary Ambassador of Namhae in 2021.
